On April 3 the long-running Off-Broadway's musical Altar Boyz, which plays New World Stages, welcomes Lee Markham.

Markham succeeds Neil Haskell in the role of Luke; Haskell, who is joining the Broadway company of 9 to 5, played his final performance March 29. In the interim Austin Lesch played the role.

Markham joins a cast that includes Michael Kadin Craig, Travis Nesbitt, Mauricio Perez and Ravi Roth.

Lee Markham played Max in the tour of Nickelodeon's Max and Ruby. He was seen in the NYMF production of Angels and in the Florida tour of Smokey Joe's Cafe.

A 2005 Outer Critics Circle winner, Altar Boyz is directed by Stafford Arima with choreography by Christopher Gattelli. Originally birthed as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival, Altar Boyz opened Off-Broadway March 1, 2005.

Altar Boyz has music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker with book by Kevin Del Aguila. The musical is based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport.

New World Stages is located at 340 West 50th Street, just west of Eighth Avenue. Tickets are available at www.telecharge.com or at (212) 239-6200.
