By Adam Hetrick
09 May 2008

Late-night comedian Conan O'Brien will take part in the Barrow Group Theatre's "Celebrity Doodles" fundraiser May 19.

The annual event auctions drawings, scribbles and "doodles" from various celebrities, with proceeds benefiting the Drama Desk Award-winning Barrow Group.

Among the theatre veterans who have donated their artwork are Tony Award winners Nathan Lane (November), Edward Albee (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), Angela Lansbury (Sweeney Todd) and David Hyde Pierce (Curtains) as well as O'Brien, "Devil Wears Prada" star Anne Hathaway and "SNL" cast member Tracy Morgan. The auction also promises a host of items including theatre tickets and hotel packages.

During the event, the Barrow Group will honor comedian Mike Birbiglia, arts supporters Anna Becker and Robin Epstein and actress and animal activist Missy Hargraves.

Tickets for the 6 PM event and auction are $75, with sponsor tickets available at $130. For tickets phone (212) 760-2615. The "Celebrity Doodles" auction takes place at Studio 450 located at 450 West 31st Street in Manhattan.
