MARQUEE VALUE: Glory Days at Circle in the Square

By Matthew Blank
02 Apr 2008

Production: Glory Days, music and lyrics by Nick Blaemire, book by James Gardiner, directed by Eric Schaeffer, starring Steven Booth, Andrew C. Call, Adam Halpin and Jesse JP Johnson.

Previews: April 22, 2008

Opening: May 6, 2008

Venue: Circle in the Square Theatre, 235 West 50th Street, New York, NY 10019

Following a well-reviewed world-premiere production at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA, Glory Days transfers to Broadway. Written by a team of 23-year-old newcomers, the 90-minute piece is the story of four best friends who reunite a year after high school graduation, only to find how much they have grown apart. As they attempt to understand each other's differences, they soon realize that nothing can compare to the glory days of high school when life was simpler. The show — which marks the first-ever Broadway transfer for the Signature Theatre — is an "unflinching look at four guys who refuse to be defined by generational stereotypes as they struggle to find their place in the world."
