This spring the West End revival of The Sound of Music — starring reality TV winner Connie Fisher as Maria von Trapp — will offer four special performances.

The production at the London Palladium will offer an audio-described performance April 24 at 7 PM (audio description by Irene Richards), captioned performances May 1 at 7 PM and May 2 at 2:30 PM (stage text by Glenn Hathaway), and a signed performance May 17 at 7:30 PM (signing by Donna Ruane of Theatresign). For more information visit the Really Useful website at www.reallyuseful.com.

The West End revival of The Sound of Music began previews at the Palladium Nov. 4, 2006. Directed by Jeremy Sams, the musical officially opened Nov. 14.

The Sound of Music originally premiered on Broadway in 1959, winning six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The 1965 Hollywood film, which starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, won five Oscars, including Best Picture.
