Highlights From Lysistrata Jones — Shooting to Score

Lysistrata Jones, the pop-rock musical comedy that takes Aristophanes' 411 BC comedy about a sex strike and dunks it into the world of college basketball, made the move to Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre following a summer 2011 run in a downtown gymnasium. The kinetic, satiric show by composer-lyricist Lewis Flinn and Tony Award-nominated librettist Douglas Carter Beane (with smooth moves by director-choreographer Dan Knechtges) features Patti Murin as the spunky title cheerleader who find her purpose by declaring "No More Giving It Up!"
