From Boy Wizard to Broadway Star: Rupert Grint Readies for It’s Only a Play

Famous across the globe for playing Ron Weasley in the “Harry Potter” series of films, Rupert Grint will make his Broadway debut in Terrence McNally's comedy It's Only A Play. In this revisal of the 1982 Off-Broadway production, Grint finds himself playing Frank Finger, a theatre director who hopes a bad review of his current project will set him on a path that will rejuvenate his career. Grint sat down with Playbill to talk about his boyhood theatre experiences as well as the trepidation of working with a star-studded cast of Broadway heavyweights including Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally.
