2012 Tony Awards Preview: Best Actress in a Musical

Follies' Jan Maxwell is nominated for her performance as bitter wife and former Follies performer Phyllis Rogers Stone, who returns to the Weismann Theatre for a final reunion before the theatre is demolished.

The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess star Audra McDonald brings new life to the scandalous Bess, the Catfish Row denizen who falls in love with the "crippled" beggar Porgy.

Once's Cristin Milioti plays a Czech woman who, muse-like, pushes an Irish singer-songwriter to do more with his musical talents.

Nice Work If You Can Get It's Kelli O'Hara plays Billie Bendix, a bootlegger who falls for a tipsy playboy, in a musical inspired by George and Ira Gershwin's Oh, Kay!

Bonnie & Clyde's Laura Osnes is nominated for her performance as Bonnie Parker: the woman who fell in love with gangster Clyde Barrow.
