PLAYBILL EXCLUSIVE: Duncan Sheik Performs "Half a Room" From "The Song That Changed My Life"

Musician, singer and Tony-winning composer Duncan Sheik sat down to share thoughts about his career (and some music!) with the new series "The Song That Changed My Life." Created by Brigham Young University’s satellite/cable network BYUtv, the show is dedicated to revealing the music meaningful to today's top artists. Sheik spoke about his inspirations, including '80s rock icons The Cure and Depeche Mode, and experiences working in theatre, including Spring Awakening and Whisper House, his supernatural musical which received a world premiere at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre in 2010. In this exclusive outtake from the show, Sheik performs the unreleased song "Half a Room," which he describes as "an answer or antidote" to his hit "Half-Life."
