Evita's Elena Roger, Michael Cerveris and Ricky Martin Meet the Press

Immediately following the first Broadway preview of Evita on March 12 - a revival more than 30 years in the making - stars Elena Roger (making her Broadway debut), Tony winner Michael Cerveris (Sweeney Todd, The Who's Tommy) and Ricky Martin (Les MisÚrables) joined Tony-winning director Michael Grandage (Red) to meet the press. The production promises updates for an audience who might never have seen the original. With the show's creatives having much more information about Argentina than was available during the 1970s, both characters and musical arrangements will reflect a new understanding of the South American nation and its controversial first lady.
