Highlights From The People in the Picture

Iris Rainer Dart ("Beaches") wrote the book and lyrics to the new musical The People in the Picture, in which Tony Award winner Donna Murphy plays a 1970s "bubbie" revealing secrets from her life as the darling of pre-World War II Polish-Yiddish theatre. A score by composer Mike Stoller (Smokey Joe's Café) and Artie Butler evokes a past that shakes the world of a chilly daughter (Nicole Parker) and an eager granddaughter (Rachel Resheff) in Roundabout Theatre Company's world premiere at Studio 54.
