Hair Cast, Avenue Q Puppets and Playbill Readers Celebrate Marriage Equality in NY
The jubilant Broadway community was abuzz July 24, the very first day same-sex couples could be legally married in the state of New York. The festivities included a special "Be-In" benefit concert by the cast of Hair and the long-awaited marriage of Avenue Q puppets Rod and Ricky. Playbill.com also received a few photos from readers sharing their joy on the momentous day.
