DUTIES:
New York City Center is seeking an intern to assist in the daily operations of its Development Department. The intern will participate in all fundraising functions with a special emphasis on Individual Giving and the Membership Program. City Center Development Interns help the Development Assistant produce renewal and gift acknowledgment letters; answer the Membership hotline; assist in booking reservations and Open Dress Rehearsals; participate in the operation of cultivation events and patrons lounge activities; assist the Special Events team with items related to the Fall Gala; research individual and institutional prospects; attend department and staff meetings; and assist with clerical tasks and other duties as needed.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:
Candidate must have computer proficiency, very strong writing, communication, and organizational skills, and a pleasant and professional telephone manner. Interest and experience in arts administration is a definite advantage. Knowledge of Tessitura is a plus, but not required.

WHAT TO SUBMIT:

This internship requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, though exact schedule is flexible and can be negotiated. Internship will run from September through December.

COMPENSATION:
City Center Development Intern will receive a monthly MetroCard.
