Corporeal mime is an emerging genre of physical theater, developed in the early 20th century by Etienne Decroux. Mime makes the invisible visible, allowing performers to physically show emotions and thoughts at a high level of abstraction and stylization. This multiplies the possibilities of the artist, giving each performer the capacity to create more freely, while enhancing imagination and clarity.
Through a series of playful and practical exercises, participants will learn a number of technical tools to help them explore and develop their own creative potential with a high level of stylization and corporeal sculpting.
This workshop is open to all actors, dancers, movers and interdisciplinary artists.
