NEIL PETER JAMPOLIS
NEIL PETER JAMPOLIS is a designer of opera, theatre and dance whose work has been seen at the Vienna State Opera, La Scala, The Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe, Seattle and New York City Opera. He is the original set designer of Forever Plaid, which has traveled the world. Honors received for his designs include a Tony Award, four Tony nominations and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for his Broadway lighting of Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner’s Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. His long association with Joel Bishoff, Joe DiPietro, Jimmy Roberts and the late James Hammerstein include Over the River and Through the Woods and The Kiss at City Hall. An opera director as well, his most recent director/designer assignment was Tosca for Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Boston Lyric Opera.
