Back in the '70s, fire hazards were a real risk—just ask Blythe Danner or John Lithgow.

During their visit with Good Morning America's Michael Strahan and Sara Haines, the two actors shared the worst moment on stage, both of which involved lit cigarettes and a prop accidentally catching on fire.

In addition to their pyro pasts, the duo revealed a missed opportunity to appear on stage and discussed their new film, The Tomorrow Man.

Lithgow is currently on stage in Hillary and Clinton, appearing as a fantastical version of the 42nd President of the United States. Danner last appeared on Broadway in The Country House.
