News Symphony Space Gala Set for April 6; Wall to Wall Broadway Concert Is May 16 Symphony Space's 2009 gala, which will be held April 6 in The Edison Ballroom, will pay tribute to The Great White Way by honoring those who "contribute to Broadway's enduring legacy."

Honorees will include Tony Award winners Lin-Manuel Miranda, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Donna Murphy and The Rodgers Family Foundation, a longtime supporter of New York cultural institutions.

Stockard Channing and Symphony Space founder and artistic director Isaiah Sheffer will co-host the evening, which will boast performances and presentations by Sheldon Harnick, Kelli O'Hara, and James Naughton.

Proceeds will support Symphony Space's performing arts and education programming.

The gala will begin at 6:30 PM with cocktails and a silent auction followed by dinner and award presentations at 7:30 PM. For silent auction details, visit symphonyspace.cmarket.com.

Symphony Space has also announced that it will present a free marathon Wall to Wall Broadway concert May 16; casting will be announced at a later time.
