NEW YORK AREA

Nightlife and music venue 54 Below will offer a Tony Awards party beginning at 7 PM. 54 Below has a cocktail and dining menu. There is no cover and a $30 minimum. Reservations are suggested; phone (646) 476-3551. Visit 54Below.com.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre's annual Tony Party begins at 7 PM. The Beechman's big screen will show the Tony red carpet coverage and the 8 PM awards ceremony. There's no cover, but reservations are suggested. There is a $15 food and beverage minimum. Visit BeechmanTheatre.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will throw a Tony viewing party at Lillie's Times Square (249 W. 49th Street). Dancers from Broadway Bares: United Strips of America will be on hand to offer raffle tickets for chances to win exciting and unique prizes. Broadway-themed cocktails and wine will be available. Fire Island's The Grove Hotel & Ice Palace Nightclub will host a Tony Awards viewing party at 7:30 PM. Brandon Cutrell hosts with Joshua Stephen Kartes at the piano. Musical guests including Michelle Dowdy, Miss Fire Island Renee Flaming, Matthew George, Bruce-Michael Gilbert, Kenny Holcomb, Rosemary Palladino, Brian Roland, Shua Potter and downtown diva Tori Scott will perform. Midtown's Brickyard Gastropub will offer its third-annual Tony viewing party beginning at 8 PM. A dinner and bar menu will be available, in addition to food specials and Tony Awards-themed cocktails. The Stonewall Inn will host its annual Tony viewing party beginning at 7 PM. Chocolatina and Lavinia Draper host the event. The American Bard Theatre Company will host a Tony Awards viewing party at Characters Bar and Grill (243 West 54th Street) beginning at 7 PM. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Click here for tickets

The Tony Awards will also be simulcast live to Times Square on Clear Channel's SpectacolorHD screen beginning at 6 PM ET. Special guests from Broadway are expected, including the cast of Rock of Ages. The annual event will be hosted by current Chicago star Christine Pedi. Full audio and seating will be available starting at 6 PM in Duffy Square.

OUTSIDE NEW YORK

Tommy Tune will host The Actors Fund's 17th Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party, which will be held at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles. The event begins at 3:30 PM with cocktails and a silent auction followed by dinner and the live Tony broadcast at 5 PM. The evening will also feature the presentation of the Artistic Achievement Award to several Broadway stars from the first Tony Awards to the present. This year's honorees are Nancy Dussault, June Lockhart, Millicent Martin, Charlotte Rae, Cathy Rigby and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Phone (323) 933-9266, ext. 458 for tickets.

The Kansas City Repertory Theatre, which gave life to A Christmas Story, The Musical, will host a Tony viewing party on the Spencer Theatre stage beginning at 6:30 PM. The free event will feature a cash bar, prizes, Tony trivia and surprise special guests.

Actors' Equity is sponsoring a Tony Award viewing party in Culver City on Tony day. The event will take place at Rocco's Seventy 7 Lounge at 7 PM. To RSVP e-mail [email protected].

The 4th annual New Orleans Actors' Equity Tony Party will take place at the National WW2 Museum's Stage Door Canteen at 6 PM. Limited reservations for dinner at $40 including entree, drink and dessert are available. There's also a silent auction and door prizes. Phone (504) 528-1944 ext 287 for reservations. North Carolina's Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, in downtown Charlotte, is offering its 8th annual free Tony screening at the McGlohon Theatre at Spirit Square at 7 PM. Visit NCBPAC.

Portland Center for the Performing Arts will host a free 7 PM Tony viewing party in the rotunda of Antoinette Hatfield Hall. A Tony Awards trivia contest, prizes and other giveaways will be offered. The Artbar & Bistro will also be open for the evening.

San Diego Actors' Equity will throw a Tony Awards viewing party at Uptown Tavern beginning at 7 PM. Admission is free for AEA members and there will be happy hour cocktail prices until 8:30 PM. $5 Tony Award cocktails will be available along with a full dining menu.
